Tri fold shutter card, gift bag and tag

Good morning everyone,

Well the last 25 hours or so have been rather stressful. My son who has only been to school for 4 days in his life tells me he has '' had enough of school'' and he is not going back. Yesterday when i picked him up he was hysterical, sobbing his heart out and today we got as far as the classroom and it started again. Refusing to go in, refusing to put his bag down, him sobbing, me sobbing .... argh!

Anyway, enough of me, lets get onto the real reason i am here....... Today i have a card and gift bag to share with you.  It was one of my DT inspiration projects i made for the fabulous Paper Lane.   The gorgeous papers are from Simple Stories and are available to buy from Paper Lane.
The papers are double sided and they are beautiful to work with.  I decided to make a tri-fold shutter card as it is a great way to show off these fabulous papers.  This paper is too nice to be sitting in a drawer so I used the remaining paper to create a matching gift bag and tag.

I should have opened the bag before taking the photo but you live and learn!

  10. This is so beautiful Jill and love the papers you have used. I think all kids go through this stage at first but I am sure the school will help him to settle in.

  11. So sorry your day was so rough. :-( Hope things are much better tomorrow and your little one gets a little more comfortable with leaving mom. Your projects are wonderful Jill. I've tried one of those cards but just couldn't get it to come together right paper wise. I think you did a beautiful job on it and the bag too. Hugs!

  12. These are fantastic! I love the shape and layout of the card - fabulous :) The colours are so pretty too.

Sorry to hear you've had a rough day :( I'm sure he'll settle in soon, I really hope so anyway. When my niece was having difficulty settling into school, my sis arranged a play-date with one of the other kids in her class so she'd have someone in the classroom that she could be pals with, maybe something like that would help him? I hope things improve soon.

Thanks for joining us at MMCS Challenge Blog :)
