It's Daddy's Birthday

Good afternoon all,
I hope this post finds you all well and i hope you all had a great Christmas. Yesterday was my wonderful Hubby's Birthday and i thought i would share the card i made for him from our little man.
Unfortunately, i am in the UK with little man and Hubby is at home in Dubai but inshAllah we will have a nice Birthday dinner for him when we get back next week.
The image i used is one i picked when i won a prize from the Digi Stamp Boutique. It's called arvin and Milo and you can find it here. Two little cheeky monkeys.....perfect for a little monkey to give to his Daddy i thought! The really love the sentiment too and it is a freebie. Unfortunately, i have forgotten who kindly posted it and because i am in the UK, the details are sitting on my craft desk at home but as soon as i find out i will post a credit and thank you here. Isn't it fab? In the meantime, if anyone else knows, please let me know so i can update my post. Thanks. :)

Don't be Square!

Good morning all,

I hope this post finds you in good health. Today the schools are on holiday and all of next week because it is Eid Al Adha tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday and end of term.  Where have the last 9 weeks gone?  It only seems like yesterday i was worrying about my little man starting school for the first time and now it's end of term 1 already!

Eid tomorrow means a little shopping spree today to buy some pressies for little man and maybe hubby! Oh, and some scrummy food unless i can persuade hubby to take us out for dinner.

Anyway, enough from me, i am really here to tell you about this week's challenge at Charisma Cardz.

Its a fun challenge, the theme is DON'T BE SQUARE!!

For the Guys!

Good morning all,

I hope you are all well. Firstly, i need to apologise for not being around blogland as much lately.  I was meant to have an operation yesterday and had been working hard in the background getting ahead with DT projects and organising everyday things for when i was going to be in hospital but you guessed it, i didn't have the operation. I was admitted, gown on, in bed, waiting, then they took my temperature and i had fever so i was given lunch and sent home.....arghhhhhh! So i will try and catch up with my comments this week before i am admitted again!

No embellishments!

Good morning crafters,

I hope you are all doing well. I am back in the land of sand, sea and sun. Almost organised after spending the last two months visiting my family. The older i get, the longer it takes me to unpack and adjust again.

Anyway, i am here today with a new card for the fantastic new challenge over at Charisma Cardz.

This week the theme is 'No Embellishments' which was chosen by Gem.   This was a challenge for me because i love adding embellishments and i had to refrain myself a few times from sneaking one on here and there! :)

The sponsor this week is the fabulous Digistamp Boutique and they are offering one lucky winner 6 digis.

The image i used is from Digistamp Boutique and was a 'freebie' on their website in June. Thank you Digistamp Boutique.    Isn't it cute? (the image, not my card!) lol

Supplies:

Paper: Craft UK 6x6'' scalloped card base, Blue gingham, white polkadot embossed cardstock
Image: Freebie from Digistamp Boutique
Accessories: EK Success heart border punch
Ink: Copics, Tim Holtz distress ink ( Broken China)
Acrylic paint and Embossing tinsel

Challenges entered:

Natalie and Amy's Challenge - Anything Goes (ends 30/9)

Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Anything Goes

I hope you will join in with this fun challenge.  If you pop over to Charisma Cardz blog you can view the other Design Team's fabulous inspirational creations.
