Echo Park Seasons Greetings

Good morning,

I hope this post finds you all in good health. With Christmas just around the corner for many, I would like to share a couple of little projects I made for Paper Lane using the beautiful Echo Park ‘Seasons Greetings’ collection.
First of all, I made a mini Christmas card and a matching gift card wallet.   I love the cute shape of this mini card.   You can easily make a little set of these mini cards (but i dont have the energy so i have only made one!) lol
I have also made a scrapbook layout using the same collection which i will post next.
Anyway, here is my card and gift card wallet.

Tri fold shutter card, gift bag and tag

Good morning everyone,

Well the last 25 hours or so have been rather stressful. My son who has only been to school for 4 days in his life tells me he has '' had enough of school'' and he is not going back. Yesterday when i picked him up he was hysterical, sobbing his heart out and today we got as far as the classroom and it started again. Refusing to go in, refusing to put his bag down, him sobbing, me sobbing .... argh!

Anyway, enough of me, lets get onto the real reason i am here....... Today i have a card and gift bag to share with you.  It was one of my DT inspiration projects i made for the fabulous Paper Lane.   The gorgeous papers are from Simple Stories and are available to buy from Paper Lane.
The papers are double sided and they are beautiful to work with.  I decided to make a tri-fold shutter card as it is a great way to show off these fabulous papers.  This paper is too nice to be sitting in a drawer so I used the remaining paper to create a matching gift bag and tag.

I should have opened the bag before taking the photo but you live and learn!

DT card for Paper Lane

Good morning all,

The sun is shining here in Scotland but for how long, i don't know!   I am just about to rush out the door to go and see The Gruffalo so this is just a quick post today to show you a DT card i made for Paper Lane.

I used Echo Park Paradise Beach paper collection.  I went for a nice bright bold theme with lots of colour and layers. I made the flower using a Hero Arts stamp set and lots of layers from this beautiful paper collection. The leaves are a Sizzix die cut coloured with Tim Holtz distress inks. The corner die cut is by Cheery Lynn.

What do you think?

Thank you for viiting me today. If you have time and leave a comment, it will let me know you dropped by and i will be able to come and visit you too.

Before i dash off, i just want to say a big hello and warm welcome to my new followers.

     Take care,

My Boys!

Good morning crafters, I hope you all had a good weekend.
Today I want to share with you a layout I created as part of my DT inspiration for Paper Lane using this beautiful paper from the Echo Park, Paradise Beach collection. The colours and designs in this collection are fabulous and perfect for summer photos.

Method:

I used the ‘Paradise’ paper for my base.  I loved the design with the palm tree and waves.  It fitted well with the photo I wanted to use which is a snap i took of my supportive hubby and fabulous son mashAllah when we went for  short stay to Fujairah, UAE.

To start with, I lightly sprayed the layout with Tattered Angels glimmer mist.  Then I created two borders from the Echo Park ‘Beach Bum’ paper and adhered them to the top of my layout. I stamped ‘my boys’ onto the tabs using an American Crafts alphabet stamp set.  I created a mat for my photo and adhered it into position using double sided tape.  The flourish is made of chipboard and coloured with Tattered angels glimmer mist with some Ranger  embossing powder sprinkled on top to give it extra bling and set in place with my heat tool.  The tags were cut from the same ‘beach bum’ paper and attached around the sun with dimensionals. The ribbon was ruffled like waves and attached with tape.
Thank you for visiting me today. If you leave me a comment, i will know you have been to see my blog and i can visit you back.
Take care,
p.s Watch this space for a card i made from the same Echo Park Paradise Beach collection.

Paper Lane's 6th Birthday

Good evening/morning all,

Well i say evening/morning because for most of you it will be evening but here it is 2 am! Yes, i am still up, pacing the floor with some buttered toast and a coffee because i cannot sleep, yet again! My eyes are tired but my mind is not! :(

Anyway, i thought i would let you know what is happening over at Paper Lane.  As you all know i am a proud DT member of Paper Lane and their shop is absolutely beautiful. Full of the latest tools, papers, stamps, accessories that any card maker or scrapbooker could wish for.

Next week will be their 6th Birthday and they have many exciting things going on.  The fabulous Iris Babao UY will be flying into Dubai to carry out some workshop classes based on layouts, albums, colour and texture techniques (which i am so excited about attending).  Hoping to learn a few tricks of the trade! ;)

Paper Lane is also having a giveaway to 3 lucky winners which i would really really love to win. All you need to do is log into Facebook, like Paper Lane's page, like their post and tell them that i (Jill Ahermouch) referred you.  It's as easy as that! Please take a minute to share some love for   Paper Lane.  Their facebook page can be found here: Paper Lane Facebook Page

Thank you all for dropping by.  I am off to get some well deserved 'shut eye' now, i hope! zzzz

   Best wishes

Paper Lane

Good afternoon all, i hope you are having a great day and a Happy Easter to everyone who is celebrating Easter today.  Go on, tell me, how many of you have had chocolate easter eggs for breakfast today? :)

Today is exciting for me because my first project for Paper Lane  has been published! I was given these gorgeous papers which are from the American Crafts' Garden Cafe Collection and this is what i came up with.  The papers are double sided and fabulous quality.  The paper i used is called 'Rose's kitchen' and i used both sides of it.  The butterfly is a Hero Arts stamp which i coloured with distress inks and copics. The border and the corners were made using EK Success punches.  The sentiment is from the 'Better Poppies' stamp set from Paper and Such. I love this sentiment.
