Christmas Sparkle

Good morning all,

I hope you are all well.  I still have this terrible cold (since last Saturday) and now my little man's cough and sore throat has turned into a runny nose too! What are we like? lol  Anyway, yesterday was weird.  We had rain! Yes, not unusual for some but for us living in the desert, it's the first rain this year. And oh boy, thunder, lightning and rain for 1 hour and it flooded the neighbourhood. Roads were impassable and my little man was calling our car ' a boat' ! lol

Anyway, enough about me, let me tell you about this week's challenge at 2 Sisters.

The theme is CHRISTMAS SPARKLE.

And there are two fabulous sponsors this week.

And here is my DT card. I have added the sparkle to the snow and the sentiment. The image is a Bugaboo image that was a 'Friday Freebie'.  Thank you Bugaboo.  The background paper is My Mind's Eye 'Everyday Flair' and the polka dot paper is from We R Memory Keepers 'Cotton Tail'.  The sentiment stamp is from The Greeting Farm.

I hope you will find some time to visit the other DTinspiration at 2 Sisters and it would be fantastic if you could join in with this challenge.

Challenges i'd like to enter:

Simply Create #12
The Ribbon Girls - 'Ho Ho Ho'
Allsorts Week 183 'Advent'
Natalie & Amy's Challenge 'Winter Wishes'
Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge 77 ' I Love Christmas'
Cute Card Thursday Challenge 245 ' Snowflakes'
The Paper Shelter #92 'Christmas is coming'

Ok, i must dash. It is UAE National Day here in Dubai and there are big celebrations going on everywhere.

Wishing you all a great weekend and whatever you are doing take care.

Big hugs,
Jill x

Ice Princess for Pastel Christmas

Good morning all,

Long time to see! Here i am posting the 2 Sisters challenge a bit late because a workman installing internet in another villa destroyed our internet cable in the process and now we have been without interent since Friday am.  This is day 5 and although we have had 3 sets of engineers out, so far, no one knows how to fix the problem! Can you believe it? Now we have to wait on someone else.....argh!  So, in the meantime, i have managed to 'borrow' my neighbours internet which i am most grateful for.  No internet means i have to do housework and that is just not on!

Anyway, since i am already late posting this, i must get on with it!

This is challenge #116 at 2 Sisters Challenge Blog and the theme is PASTEL Christmas.

The sponsor is the fabulous Stitchy Bear digital Stamps.

I received this fantastic digi from Stitchy Bear for my card.  It is called Ice Princess and you can find it here.

I hope you will join us in this challenge and pop over to see the beautiful inspiration provided by my fellow DT members.

I will be back soon with another post and another Christmas card.  Thank you for visiting.  As always, your comments are very much appreciated.

Take care
   Hugs, Jill x

Thinking of You

Good morning crafters!

Here i am again relying on blogger to schedule my post on time! My previously cancelled operation was rescheduled for wednesday so whilst i am expecting to be home by now, i am not sure if i will be up to posting this on time!

Anyway, a new month means a month of new challenges over at the 2 Sisters challenge blog.

This week the theme is a sketch and we are sponsored by the fabulous Stitchy Bear Stamps

It would be great if you joined us in this challenge and if you pop over to the 2 Sisters challenge blog you will see the other DT's beautiful inspiration.

Here is the sketch.

I turned the sketch on its side for my card.  I used this beautiful 'Fanciful Bouquet' digi from Stitchy Bear.  You can find it here.  The papers are Back to Basics III but unfortunately didn't come out too well in this photo.

Thank you for visiting today. I will try and pop around to all your blogs as soon as i am up and about a bit.

Take care, Big hugs, Jill x

Good morning all, i hope you are all having a great weekend.  Today, i have some news to share with you.

I am delighted to announce that i have been asked to join the fabulous 2 Sisters Challenge Blog Design Team.  Yay!  I start today and will be providing DT inspiration every Saturday for the next 6 months so i hope you will all come and join in the fun at the 2 Sisters Challenge Blog .

During the month of July 2 Sisters Challenge Blog will have a month long theme of Christmas In July. Each week they will have a new sponsor and a new prize. And each week they will also have an optional bonus. You are free to make a Christmas project or you can join in and create a Christmas project using the bonus. Everyone who follows the challenge and rules will be entered for a chance to win that week's prize. But as an added extra bonus during the entire month of July anyone who uses the bonus will be added into a special surprise drawing at the end of the month.  How cool is that?

This is Week 99 and the sponsor is the fabulous Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps.

Incase you have forgotten, the theme is: CHRISTMAS IN JULY

Bonus (optional): No Red and Green

Here is my card:

Recipe:

I printed the image onto white cardstock and coloured it with copics.  To the tree, i added some bling in the shape of some mini gems.  You probably can't see it in the photo but i added some 'snow' to the bottom of the card, the edge of the pink cardstock (yes, the cardstock is pink even though it looks red in the photo!) and i also added some snowflakes around the image using Ranger Embossing Tinsel. The snowflakes stamps are part of a set from The Greeting Farm.  The corner dies are by Cheery Lynn.

Thank you for visiting.  If you leave me  comment, i will know you stopped by and i will come and visit you too.  Have a good day.

Hugs, Jill x
