Crafty Purple Frog Challenge

Just want to let you all know that there is a new challenge over at Crafty Purple Frog Challenges today.  The theme is Saint David's Day.  (Saint David's Day is the feast day of Saint David, the patron saint of Wales, and falls on 1 March of each year. The date of 1st March was chosen in remembrance of the death of Saint David. Many people will wear a daffodil to celebrate Saint David).

My 1st Easel card!

Good morning all,

Well, i have a new addition to my card family today, my first ever 'easel' card!  i have always admired easel cards but until now i have given them a wide berth.  To me, they looked way too complicated so to be honest, i didnt even give them a second thought however last night i decided tonights the night, i gotta give it a go and several hours later i made my first easel card.  If i am honest, i am quite proud of my attempt but i have made it into a Birthday card for my best friend (my Mum) so i cannot share it with you all yet! It is completely different from anything else i have done from the design, the stamping, the colours etc.  All will be revealed towards the end of March!
However, you know me, i cannot leave things alone in my crafty room so this morning i made another one! Totally different from last nights, more my usual style. Here it is.... my 1st easel card on blog land!

I am an auntie!

Good morning all, hope you are all having a good day.  I became an auntie (in law) yesterday again when my gorgeous sister in law had a baby girl.  Unfortunately, she lives thousands of miles away so dont know yet when we will get to see them but wish them all the best with their new bundle of joy! So, what's new? I used this Magnolia stamp for the first time and have teamed it up with some new paper i got from the Me to You range. Coloured it with copics, added some pink lace from my stash, some pearls and a butterfly. Voila! lol

I love Edwin!

Hello all, the weekend is almost over and the days are getting warmer, 27 degrees today yipee! Boy, the weekends go so quick though, don't they? Anyway, i must say that i absolutely love my new Tilda and Edwin stamps and couldn't wait to get my first Edwin inked up so here he is. I was actually making a Tilda card, stamped her, coloured her then made a hash of cutting her out so she went in the bin which meant it was time for Edwin to make an appearance!

Crafty Purple Frog (1st DT Card)- Flower Power

Good Morning everyone,

Exciting day today, my first DT card for the fabulous Crafty Purple Frog Challenge.  This week the theme is 'Flower Power'.  I used the decoupage sheet named Eglantine in Dawn.  You can get this from http://thecraftypurplefrog.blogspot.com/ . I then made the 'flowers' by using my Hero Arts stamps, i  distressed them and added buttons and finshed them off with black laces that i recycled from something i threw away ( cant remember what it was though! lol!). I just knew they would come in handy someday!

Happy 80th Birthday

Good evening everyone,

I am back from my travels, unpacked and ready to get crafty again! Just spent the last hour rearranging my craft room with the addition of more storage. Hello everyone,

Sorry i have not been blogging away very much these past days but i have been visiting family over the past few weeks but inshAllah i will be back to normal blogging daily from this weekend!

However i have some exciting news that i want to share. I have been selected to join the Just Inspirational Design Team and i am more than happy about this.  I am going to be a busy little bee but i love what i do and cannot think of anything better.
