2 Sisters Challenge # 101

Good morning all,

I hope you are having a good weekend. Today, i am here let you know about this weeks challenge over at the 2 Sisters Challenge Blog.

As you already probably know, 2 Sisters are having a 'Christmas in July' month so for the entire month of July the theme is CHRISTMAS. Each week there is an optional twist to the theme. To qualify for a chance to win the sponsor prize all you have to do is enter a card or project using the theme of Christmas. However if you also use the optional twist, your name will be put into a drawing at the end of the month for a chance to win a prize package from my shop The Crafting Boutique

This week's optional twist is: Use an image of an animal or with an animal in it. Remember you don't have to use the twist unless you would like to be entered into the monthly drawing.
This week's sponsor is the fabulous Meljens Designs Designs.
I was lucky enough to be given a fantastic digi from Meljens Designs and this is what i created.

I coloured the image with Copics and added some bling to the jingle bells.  The edges of the papers were distressed with Tim Holtz distress ink (Walnut stain) and i used a Close to my Heart Edge distressing tool on the matted image.  Designer paper on the card base is called 'mistletoe' and is by Making Memories and the paper used for matting and to the left behind the image is from the DCWV Collage Musings stack pack. The sentiment was on the reverse of the mistletoe paper.

Thank you for visiting.  I hope you will visit the other DT projects on the 2 Sisters blog and hope you will join in the challenge this week too.

    Take care,

Good morning crafters!

I hope you are all having a good week.  The weather in Scotland is hideous!  I have been here for 12 days now and there has only been 1 day that i has not rained! Argh! I certainly don't miss the Scottish weather when i am in Dubai, that is for sure!

Anyway, apologies to everyone for the lack of commenting recently.  I have really been busy every day going here and there, visiting and shopping and trying to get ahead with my DT projects that i have not managed to get on the PC as much as normal. I will catch up with you all asap, promise!

Enough from me for now, onto this weeks challenge over at Just Inspirational Challenges.

This is Week 37 and the sponsor this week is Stamp n doodle.

The inspirational photo is here:

And my card using a Stamp n doodle image is here:

Method:

The image as already coloured grey so i blinged it up by inking it up with versamark and added some Ranger embossing tinsel and set it with my heat tool.  I coloured the bow in her hair with copics first then applied the same technique as i did with her dress. The roses were made using a Sizzix die and the sentiment is stamped onto a Spellbinder Lacey Ovales die cut. The paper is from We R Memory Keepers (i think).  The border was made using an EK Success punch.

Thank you for visiting me today and a big warm welcome to my new followers.  It is great to have to hear.

Hugs, Jill x

2 Sisters Challenge Blog Christmas in July

Good morning all, i hope you are all having a great weekend.  Today, i have some news to share with you.

I am delighted to announce that i have been asked to join the fabulous 2 Sisters Challenge Blog Design Team.  Yay!  I start today and will be providing DT inspiration every Saturday for the next 6 months so i hope you will all come and join in the fun at the 2 Sisters Challenge Blog .

During the month of July 2 Sisters Challenge Blog will have a month long theme of Christmas In July. Each week they will have a new sponsor and a new prize. And each week they will also have an optional bonus. You are free to make a Christmas project or you can join in and create a Christmas project using the bonus. Everyone who follows the challenge and rules will be entered for a chance to win that week's prize. But as an added extra bonus during the entire month of July anyone who uses the bonus will be added into a special surprise drawing at the end of the month.  How cool is that?

This is Week 99 and the sponsor is the fabulous Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps.

Incase you have forgotten, the theme is: CHRISTMAS IN JULY

Bonus (optional): No Red and Green

Here is my card:

Recipe:

I printed the image onto white cardstock and coloured it with copics.  To the tree, i added some bling in the shape of some mini gems.  You probably can't see it in the photo but i added some 'snow' to the bottom of the card, the edge of the pink cardstock (yes, the cardstock is pink even though it looks red in the photo!) and i also added some snowflakes around the image using Ranger Embossing Tinsel. The snowflakes stamps are part of a set from The Greeting Farm.  The corner dies are by Cheery Lynn.

Thank you for visiting.  If you leave me  comment, i will know you stopped by and i will come and visit you too.  Have a good day.

Hugs, Jill x

Happy Birthday

Good evening crafters!

I hope you are all well and getting better weather than me!  Sorry for the lack of posts since Thursday, i have been travelling and i'm not organised yet! Since i arrived in the UK it has not stopped raining.  My little man thinks it is brilliant because he can splash in the puddles and take his umbrella everywhere but i would prefer it to rain when i am sleeping.  Bring on the sunshine please.

Anyway, onto my card, this is a card i made for Paper Lane.  It is one of a few projects i made using the DCWV Collage Musings stack pack.  I wanted to create a card that was easy to make with few tools for this particular project.  I made the flower using the paper from the pack and attached a brad to the centre.  The fence is a Tim Holtz die cut coloured with distress ink.

Paper Lane are also holding a Design Challenge and my card is the inspiration.  The challenge is open to anyone that can collect the prize in person from Paper Lane

Here is the fabulous prize you could win.

And here is my card:

Thank you for stopping by.
Best wishes,
Jill x
