Happy Birthday Mum

Good Morning,
Hope you are all well. Today it is my Mum's Birthday.  She is the best Mum in the world. I am biased i know, but really, she is!  Unfortunately, i cannot share her birthday with her in person as i am several thousand miles away from home but inshAllah she will have a great day and we will have a belated celebration the next time i am home.  Anyway, this is the card i made.  I made it a few months ago (how organised am i? lol).  It was actually my first attempt at an easel card.  The poppy stamp is from Hero Arts.

Thank you to everyone who drops by.  Hope you have a great day.  Sending a big ''hello'' to my new followers.  It means a lot.  Hugs, Jill x

Friends

Good morning all, hope you are enjoying your weekend. The weekend is over here and it's back to normal (housework and crafting!). Well, crafting mainly with a little bit of housework here and there! :)

Anyway, i have another card to share with you this morning.  I purchased a new Hero Arts background stamp yesterday and i just had to use it straight away. I stamped the image onto white cardstock using Tim Holtz 'Shabby Shutters' distress ink. I also used my edge distresser tool for the first time.  The butterfly is a Hero Arts stamp which i love and i coloured it with copics. The sentiment is from the 'Better Poppies' stamp set from Paper and Such.

Thanks for dropping by. Enjoy your day. Hugs, Jill x

Thinking of You

Good evening all, hope you are all having a good day.  I went for a little walk today outside down by the marina. Making the most of the outdoors just now before it gets too hot. Anyway, enough of me, what about my cards? Well, today i have two cards to show you.  Both cards have been made using stamps and sentiments from the fab candy i won recently from the lovely Naomi.  The first one is a practice card, a CAS sympathy card using Prima Marketing Clear Stamps for the image and a Paper and Such sentiment.  The second card is a Paper and Such 'Better Poppies' clear stamp.  I stamped the image straight onto the card, then stamped another image onto cardstock, coloured it with Tim Holtz distress inks ( i cant live without these inks) and then paper pieced them.  The sentiment is also from the same Better Poppies set.  The border was made using an EK Success border punch and the edges were also distressed.  The ribbon was from my stash. What do you think?

Challenges entered:

Thank you for dropping by.  I hope to see you all again very soon.  All your comments are very much appreciated and they give me a chance to come and visit you too.  Thanks again and a big warm ''hello and welcome'' to my new followers.  Take care, hugs, Jill x

Liebster Blog Award !

Hello again, third post today!  I just received some exciting news!  The lovely Jo from a little piece of me has awarded me the Liebster Blog Award and i am more than delighted! How cool is that?

Thank you so much Jo, i am over the moon about it and will display the badge with pride.

The idea of the Liebster blog award is to spread the love from one small blog (under 200 followers)
to other small blogs to help spread knowledge and readership.
"Liebster" in German means "favourite", so to carry on the tradition, I am going to pass the award
on to 5 people who's blogs have been as inspiration to me and my crafting.
To accept the award, here's what you must do:
1.....Link back to the person who gave it and thank them for thinking of you
2.....Post the award to your blog
3.....Give the award to 5 bloggers with less than 200 followers that you appreciate and value
4.....Leave a comment on the blogs of your 5 chosen to let them know

Here are my 5 in no particular order ( i wish i could have picked more ):

1. Naomi from Paper Bag Princess Papercrafting & more

2. Ann from Annie's Crafty Heaven

3. Elfie's sparkle and dust

4. Kate from Kates - Krafty - Korner

5. Pauline from Crafting with Cotnob
I hope you will all be happy to accept my award.  Hugs, Jill x
