Fall

Good morning crafters,

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend.  Apologies for the lack of posts recently.  Since returning from the UK, i have been busy trying to get ahead with my DT projects and my 'baby' started school for the first time on Tuesday.  The whole school thing has knocked our routines to pot.  Normally, we go to bed late (son included) and get up late and now we are in bed early and up at 5:45am!  School here starts at 7:40am so it is certainly a shock to our systems!

Anyway, i should be in more of a routine soon and i should be ahead with my DT projects in the next few days so i will have time to create more, blog more and comment more. Here's hoping!

So, onto today's challenge over at 2 Sisters challenge blog.

This week's theme is: FALL so go on, check out the fab DT inspiration on the 2 Sisters blog and let us see your interpretation of Fall by joining in with the challenge.

There are two sponsors this week.

The fabulous Digi Doodle Shop

And the fantastic Inked Treasures

Here is the card i made:

Supplies
Paper: Bazzill cardstock (Ornage & brown), Kraft cardstock, MME 'Everyday Flair' patterned paper, & other bits and bods from my ever expanding paper and cardstock stash!
Stamps: Hero Arts 'tree trunks' stamp, Hero Arts 'Leaf' stamp
Dies: Tim Holtz 'Styled Labels' & the tag was a die cut but i cant remember which one (sorry).
Inks: Tim Holtz distress ink - spiced marmalade, walnut stain & antique linen & Versamark
Others: Ranger perfect pearls - cappuccino & perfect gold & Hemptique True Hemp (orange hemp), dimensionals, double sided tape, glue dots.

Challenges i would like to enter:

Clearly I Stamp (CIC #59) - leaves
Cute Card Thursday - #233 Autumn Gold
Raise The Bar Challenge - #110 Celebrate Fall

Thank you all for visiting and i wish you all a happy weekend.  If you leave me a comment, it will let me know you have been and i can come and visit you too.

DT card for Paper Lane

Good morning all,

The sun is shining here in Scotland but for how long, i don't know!   I am just about to rush out the door to go and see The Gruffalo so this is just a quick post today to show you a DT card i made for Paper Lane.

I used Echo Park Paradise Beach paper collection.  I went for a nice bright bold theme with lots of colour and layers. I made the flower using a Hero Arts stamp set and lots of layers from this beautiful paper collection. The leaves are a Sizzix die cut coloured with Tim Holtz distress inks. The corner die cut is by Cheery Lynn.

What do you think?

Thank you for viiting me today. If you have time and leave a comment, it will let me know you dropped by and i will be able to come and visit you too.

Before i dash off, i just want to say a big hello and warm welcome to my new followers.

     Take care,

Good afternoon everyone!

I hope you are all still enjoying the sunshine and hope you had a great weekend. I have been experimenting in the craft room!  I was actually blog hopping a couple of days ago and saw a waterfall card and was inspired and just knew that i had to have a go myself.  A few pieces of cardstock, some Alla Prima paper, a Hero Arts flower stamp and sentiment, a bit of Tim Holtz distress ink here and there and voila, here is my card.

It is not the best card design to take photos of.  Obviously, it would be ideal to show you a video of it opening and closing and if i am brave enough, i will upload one later on tonight!  For now, i have a few piccies for you :)

Here it is as i start to pull the tag to open it:

CAS

Good evening all!

I hope you have had a great day. I have been working on a few DT projects lately so my posts are few and far between but i do have a little inspiration for you tonight.

I actually left this card blank simply because i couldn't decide what i wanted to put on it! Now, it can be used for a birthday, thank you, just because, thinking of you, anything! The papers are from We R Memory Keepers Cotton Tail paper pack and Me to You Spring Chic paper pack. The little ribbon sticker is by Kioshi. I made the flower using part of a Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die, some punched scalloped circles, and a button. The heart border is an EK Success border punch. The edges of the flower and leaves were distressed with walnut stain distress ink. The leaves were made using a Hero Arts flower stamp set.

It's good to stamp!

Good morning all,

I hope you all had a good weekend.  I have been playing with my distress inks and my Hero Arts butterfly and background stamp.  I would normally colour this butterfly with copics but i thought i use my distress inks today. This is the result! The background is stamped with walnut stain and the butterfly is worn lipstick and walnut stain.I also added a few pink pearls to the stamped flowers and a button to the butterfly.

Thanks you for dropping by.  All your comments are much appreciated.
Best wishes,

All Distressed!

Good morning crafters,  i hope you are all well.

I have not posted a card for a few days because i have been busy busy busy making DT projects and have been sorting out my craft room. Boy, did it need it! My fab hubby put up a new shelf for me and now i have filled it, i dont know how i managed before! I told him i need another one and he just laughed! Oh well, it was worth a try! Anyway, i have a quick card to show you today.  I thought i would have a play with my distress inks and this is what i came up with.  To be honest, if i made this again, i think i would use brown ink to stamp my flowers onto the card base but you live and learn! I also had a few attempts at stamping the sentiment straight! This was attempt no. 4!

Method:

I coloured the card base using Tim Holtz disress ink (Shabby Shutters and Crushed Olive) then stamped the flowers with a Hero Arts stamp set. The edges are distressed with walnut stain.  The die cuts are Tim Holtz Alterations (Ornate) which i coloured with shabby shutters, crushed olive and worn lipstick.  The edges are walnut stain.  The rose is a Sizzix Bigz 3D flower die. That's it! Hope you like it.

Paper Lane

Good afternoon all, i hope you are having a great day and a Happy Easter to everyone who is celebrating Easter today.  Go on, tell me, how many of you have had chocolate easter eggs for breakfast today? :)

Today is exciting for me because my first project for Paper Lane  has been published! I was given these gorgeous papers which are from the American Crafts' Garden Cafe Collection and this is what i came up with.  The papers are double sided and fabulous quality.  The paper i used is called 'Rose's kitchen' and i used both sides of it.  The butterfly is a Hero Arts stamp which i coloured with distress inks and copics. The border and the corners were made using EK Success punches.  The sentiment is from the 'Better Poppies' stamp set from Paper and Such. I love this sentiment.

And a sideways view:

I am biased i know, but really, she is!  Unfortunately, i cannot share her birthday with her in person as i am several thousand miles away from home but inshAllah she will have a great day and we will have a belated celebration the next time i am home.  Anyway, this is the card i made.  I made it a few months ago (how organised am i? lol).  It was actually my first attempt at an easel card.  The poppy stamp is from Hero Arts.

Friends

Good morning all, hope you are enjoying your weekend. The weekend is over here and it's back to normal (housework and crafting!). Well, crafting mainly with a little bit of housework here and there! :)

Anyway, i have another card to share with you this morning.  I purchased a new Hero Arts background stamp yesterday and i just had to use it straight away. I stamped the image onto white cardstock using Tim Holtz 'Shabby Shutters' distress ink. I also used my edge distresser tool for the first time.  The butterfly is a Hero Arts stamp which i love and i coloured it with copics. The sentiment is from the 'Better Poppies' stamp set from Paper and Such.

Purple is the new pink!

Good Afternoon crafters, hope you are all well.  Over here, i have been busy busy busy making a few cards for a few more challenges. I am now hooked! First up is this lovely card i made last night for the Card Patterns Sketch 142 but i am also going to enter it into the Pile It On, One Stitch at a Time and Mad for Markers challenges.

I used cream, pink and purple cardstock and patterned paper (which i cant remember where from, sorry!). The butterfly stamp is from Hero Arts and i coloured it with Copics and added some silver bling dots. I made extra wings and added them with dimensionals to give it depth. The 'just for you' sentiment is from Ladybug Crafts Ink. The punched circle is a 1 3/4 '' punch and the scalloped is 2''.  The punched edging down the side was made using my EK success punch and the purple satin ribbon was from my ribbon stash.  Hope you like it :)  If you drop by to view, please leave me a comment and i will be sure to visit you to! Thanks for looking :)
