Origami shirt

Good evening crafters,

I hope you are all well.  Tonight i want to share with you a card i made for one of my Paper Lane DT projects using the DCWV Collage Musings stack pack. When i saw this 'measuring tape' paper i knew i had to make a masculine card with it.  The origami shirt was made using paper from the same stack pack.  I made this card into a Birthday card but it could just as easily be a Father's Day card.

And a close up:

Supplies:

Paper: DCWV Collage Musings stack pack, brown card stock and cream card base
Inks: Tim Holtz (Walnut stain) distress ink
Sentiment: Stampin UP! birthday wishes
Tools: Close to my Heart distressing tool
Adhesives: glue stick, double sided tape and dimensionals
Brads & large paper clip

Thank you all for visiting.

Get Shirty!

Good evening crafters, hope you are all well and looking forward to the weekend. The weekend starts here today so yipee! As my cards tend to be more for the ladies i decided it was time to create a card for the boys today. I must admit that i do find it much harder making masculine cards but i did it, here it is.

I am going to enter it into the following challenges:

2 Sisters Challenge Blog Challenge 68 (Punches and/or dies)  http://2sisterschallengeblog.blogspot.com/

DYSU Challenge Blog Challenge #49 (Something Old) http://doyoustackup.blogspot.com/2011/12/dysu-challenge-49-something-old.html

Crafty Creations Challenge #147 (A Card with a Sentiment) http://craftycreationschallenges.blogspot.com/

Materials used:
k i memories 'Friends' patterned cardstock paper pack for the shirt and punched circles
Cream and Brown cardstock
Brown buttons from stash
Dimensionals
The shirt i made by folding a 4'' x 7'' piece of cardstock
Tim Holtz Distress Inks (Walnut stain) to distress the edge of the card, the punched circles and the shirt to give the old worn look!
E K Success corner rounder punch
1 1/2 '' circle punch
Stampin Up! Happy Birthday stamp which has a flower in the centre so i disguised this with a coordinating button.
