Final post for today.... maybe!

Hello crafters, well i did say that i have been busy! Third post today! Anyway, this is the card i made for the DYSU Challenge #46 - Splash of Blue. I used cream, blue, brown  and green cardstock and a lovely patterned paper (it is called Father and Son i think but cannot remember who by, sorry). I punched the circles using a 1 3/4'' circle punch and a 2'' scalloped punch. The 'DAD' sentiment i printed from my computer and distressed it with Tim Holtz Distress ink (walnut stain). The little boat is a brad that i had in my stash. These were adhered using dimensionals and the little green and brown buttons just finished it off. Thanks for looking :)

Pretty in Pink

I am back! This time with a card i have created for the Mad for Markers Challenge (Anything goes) using my 'Elise' Sugar Nellie stamp. I stamped her onto white cardstock and coloured her with copics. The edges of the cardstock were distressed with Tim Hotlz distress ink and then mounted onto pink cardstock. I used my EK Success punch to create the pretty detailed edge on the right and added ribbon to the left edge and a pretty bow. The flowers are from my stash which i built up using dimensionals and finished off with some distress ink and pretty pearls.  Thank you for looking :) Comments most welcome :)

Purple is the new pink!

Good Afternoon crafters, hope you are all well.  Over here, i have been busy busy busy making a few cards for a few more challenges. I am now hooked! First up is this lovely card i made last night for the Card Patterns Sketch 142 but i am also going to enter it into the Pile It On, One Stitch at a Time and Mad for Markers challenges.

I used cream, pink and purple cardstock and patterned paper (which i cant remember where from, sorry!). The butterfly stamp is from Hero Arts and i coloured it with Copics and added some silver bling dots. I made extra wings and added them with dimensionals to give it depth. The 'just for you' sentiment is from Ladybug Crafts Ink. The punched circle is a 1 3/4 '' punch and the scalloped is 2''.  The punched edging down the side was made using my EK success punch and the purple satin ribbon was from my ribbon stash.  Hope you like it :)  If you drop by to view, please leave me a comment and i will be sure to visit you to! Thanks for looking :)

It's the weekend here! yipee!

Good afternoon,  Today i am going to enter Whimsy Inspirations Challenge (Flower Power with a sentiment) and Delightful Challenges (B-I-N-G-O). This is the card i have made for the challenges. I am annoyed that my camera has not picked up the colours very well but hope you like it anyway :)

Materials:
Cream & green cardstock for the card base, the green strips on and under the patterned paper and for the punched scalloped circle.
Pattererned paper from my Kaisercraft Paper Pad (Gypsy Sisters Collection)
I stamped the flowers onto co-ordinating paper from the same Kaisercraft paper pad using my
Hero Arts Cling Stamps. The other flowers were from my stash.
I punched a 2 inch scalloped circle and distressed the edges along with the flowers using Tim Holtz Distress ink (walnut stain).
Green buttons from my stash were used to embellish the flowers and dimensionals were used to layer the flowers and give depth.

Thanks for looking. Have a great day. Please leave a comment so i know you have dropped by. They are much appreciated. Best wishes, Jill :)

Good afternoon fellow crafters, i have a question? How do you all have time to work or do housework when we have craft rooms calling out to us to get creative? Anyone feel like doing my ironing? lol   Anyway, today i thought i would try something different and went in search of a Digi stamp.  I found a lovely 'Ornamental Heart Stamp' designed by Sarah Paris @ MYGrafico.com/www.sarahparis.co.uk. I played about with it and this is what i came up with. Thank you. Hope you like it. :)

Thank you

Hello crafters, today i decided to make a Thank You card. Everyone needs to say Thank You at some point so they always come in handy.

First of all i stamped my design using Memento ink onto white cardstock. I coloured the stamped image using copic markers No's E30, RV04 and YG09. I also stamped a second image, coloured the two flowers, cut them out then distressed them with Tim Holtz distress ink (walnut stain).   I then added them to my image using dimensionals to give a 3D effect.  I also distressed the edges and border of the white cardstock (lightly) using the same distress ink.  I mounted the cut out image onto brown cardstock from my stash, punched out the corners and distressed the edges.  I then took my card and added shocking pink and chocolate brown ribbon from my stash down the folded edge, added my stamped image and embellished it with shocking pink pearls and brown buttons.  Best wishes Jill :)

Items used:

Hero Arts Cling Thank You stamp
White, brown and cream cardstock
Black Memento Ink
Copic Markers No. 30 Bisque,  No. RV04 Shock pink and No. YG09 Lettuce green
Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Distress ink
2 inch scalloped punch
Dimensionals & adhesives
Shocking pink ribbon, chocolate brown ribbon, shocking pink pearls and wood effect buttons all from my stash!

Good Evening, here are a few of the cards that i have made. Comments welcomed  :)

Welcome to my blog!

Hi, my name is Jill and i created My Little Card Studio so i could keep a record of my cards and paper projects.

I scrapbook, make hand-crafted cards and paper projects.  I am a full-time mummy to Adam and have a wonderful husband Omar.

I love stamping and love being creative. I lie awake at night thinking up new designs! Is this normal or is it just me that does this?

I am new to all of this so i would really be grateful if you could take a minute to let me know what you think. Also, i am always looking to improve and learn new techniques so please feel free to point me in the right direction, leave links, ideas or suggestions. They would be most welcome.

Enough from me, thank you for looking. Happy crafting!
